I joined the Alder Veterinary Practice in 2015 following a career as a research scientist and a teacher. I started as a nursing assistant and in 2012 took on a management role.

I have worked as a volunteer for Cats Protection for over twenty years  and have fostered and rehomed hundreds of cats during that time. I am the Homing and Welfare Officer for the local Stamford & District Branch Cats Protection.

But my primary interest is behaviour, canine and feline I have done numerous behaviour courses over the past fifteen years including courses run by Edinburgh Vet School and the University of Lincoln. I am currently studying for a Graduate Diploma in Animal Behaviour Management. I am a provisional member of the the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC). This is an international network of experienced and qualified pet behaviour counsellors who work on referral from veterinary surgeons. Provisional members have completed academic requirements to a level 6 degree level or higher and conduct behaviour consultations on veterinary referral within the framework of support provided by APBC Full members. They are expected to complete a minimum of 30 hours CPD annually to abide by the same code as full members.

I have four rescue dogs of my own and a small colony of un-homeable semi-feral yard cats.
